Flash Frame Film and Video Network, The Bay Street Film Festival and The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) present an intensive five day training opportunity for the Northern Ontario film, television and digital media production community.

When: Sunday, October 2– Thursday, October 6, 2011
Where: Thunder Bay, Ontario

 ‘Docs North” is a five day intensive, hands on training opportunity designed to equip Northern Ontario film and media makers from isolated Northern communities with the skills necessary to produce drama, documentary and interactive media projects.

At the end of the week the program will award 3 to 4 filmmakers an opportunity to produce their story over the following 12 months. Sessions will be conducted by leading film, television and digital media experts from across Canada
and Nunavut will include:

• Intro to the Interactive Story Telling Process
• Approaching Story
• A Producers Job
• The Director at Work
• Camera and Lighting
• Sound Work
• Editing

Flash Frame will provide transportation, 6 nights accommodation and meals for 8-10 Northern Ontario filmmakers from communities north of Thunder Bay. There will be an additional 15 spaces available for filmmakers residing in Thunder Bay.
